How to know the difference between ego and intuition.

“Each of us is called to do something in the name of love, to make sure that humanity comes to understand itself and is able to choose love over fear.”
― Robert Holden

Walking a spiritual path in this day in age can be overwhelming! While it’s great and people are waking up all over town, there’s so much jargon floating around regarding the ego. I’m aiming to simplify it here. I remember learning about the ego in school psychology as Freud would define it, and I remember hearing about it as a form of arrogance. Maybe you’ve heard similar definitions.

The ego in a spiritual sense however, not only makes itself better than others, it also is less than, never equal to. When we realize we all come from the same source of love, and separation doesn’t exist, we can begin to understand, and quiet the loud voice of ego/fear and hear our intuition/love.

When I learned the ego is our conditioning, and our natural state is love, and our nature is love, and our natural state is love…let me repeat…our natural state is love…I began to not only understand my ego but love it, and myself back to wholeness.

I think it’s important to realize we are all human and are going to operate from ego. To be in the state of love all the time would be heavenly, but it’s important to not beat yourself up for your humanness when you’re not in this state 24/7.

Our recognition when we detour into fear, our self-compassion, self-love, and awareness can bring us back to our blissful state of love. That being said, our accountability here is to let love be our aim, by choosing love over fear. Once you know what love is, and you know what fear is, choosing becomes a lot easier.
